Strengths: Good print quality. Fast printing (13 ppm color), expected since it's a single-pass printer. Comes with FULL toner cartridges. Networkable printer that everyone on your network can use.

Weaknesses: Expensive replacement toner cartridges. Cannot expand memory. No duplexing.

Overall Evaluation: This color laser printer is an excellent choice for a small workgroup. It prints high quality prints at a very good pace (13 ppm). It also comes with FULL toner cartridges, which should last you quite some time. It's networkable, meaning everyone on your network can print to this printer. The negatives are the infamously expensive toner cartridges. In addition, there is no built-in duplexing, and no way to add this functionality. The memory, which generally sufficient at 64MB, is not expandable.

    Strengths: Good output, fast.

    Weaknesses: Kinda klunky in size.

Overall Evaluation: Networkable, fast, good color and B&W prints. What more can I say?The only thing to be aware of is the sticker shock of replacing 4 toner catridges. Yes, yes, the per print price is lower than an inkjet, but there is no discounting the pure psychological aspect of paying a couple hundred dollars for toner versus $25 for an ink cart. :)

    Strengths: Fast output.

Weaknesses: Heavy and bulky. Toners are kind of pricey.

Overall Evaluation: High quality print and great color. Picture quality is not that good but it's pretty good for basic logo business printing. I recommend this printer to those using it for business or home office applications.

Strengths: Great PrinterDecent FootprintExcellent black and color printsReasonable priceReasonable price of toner cartridges

Weaknesses: Speed isnt exactly what you think it will be.

Overall Evaluation: This color laser printer turned out to be a great home and home office type printer. It is alittle too slow for me for real business type printing. Prints are exceptional, especially in color. I highly recommend the printer. Not to mention, combine this with the HP trade up program and you end up with an extra $150 off the price.

Strengths: Appearance, speed, full toner cartridges.

    Weaknesses: Text appears thin.

Overall Evaluation: This machine performs well although printing text appears to be a bit thin. The included driver software works well and doesn't add a lot of unnecessary programs to your PC. Networking was a breeze to set up on multiple PCs. The full capacity toner cartridges were a nice bonus since most laser printers only come with starter cartridges.

Strengths: Small size but powerfull fast color laser printer

Weaknesses: 60 lbs is still heavy...

Overall Evaluation: This is a less than $600 but fast color laser printer and again the best printer manufacturer that you can trust always- HP. Up to 50,000 of high volume is an ideal printer share for small office with network.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Fast printer with great color output. Very reasonably priced with FULL toner cartridges!

Weaknesses: Large, heavy printer. Had problem getting USB to work.

Overall Evaluation: This is one great color laser printer. I had been planning to buy one for years, but the speed and expense kept me from purchasing. Now HP has a new lineup of printers that eliminate these problems. Rated speed of this printer is 17 ppm. Although printing a single-page document takes a little time, I was able to print a 12-page newsletter in 38 seconds from the time I pressed PRINT until the last page completed printing. The quality of printout rivals close to my Photosmart 3310 printer. Only problem I had is that the USB would not connect, although the networking cable did just fine. A call to HP support had me remove some files and re-install the drivers and USB is up and running. It's nice to have the flexibility of printing with 2 types of connections. Although some laser printers come with partial toner cartridges, the 3600n comes with FULL ones. If you were to buy them separately, they would cost just over $520. Buying this printer with full cartriges makes it a bargain! All-in-all, at $599.99 (with HP's instant rebate) the 3600n is a terrific printer. It is a great compromise between a basic entry-level color laser and a heavy-duty business model

    Duration of ownership:1 Months

Strengths: Very fast "start-up", nice quality of output, full toner cartridges

Weaknesses: Ticking sound, print drivers are required to be installed on PCs, additional paper tray is very expensive ($250)

Overall Evaluation: This is a nicely sized color laser printer for the home or small office (or large office for that matter). It only weighs about 60 lbs, so easy enough to move around. There is a "heart beat" light (indicator) on the side--neat feature. While the printer is active (i.e., not in sleep mode), there is a ticking sound. This is only obvious when very close to the printer.Another major negative is that printer drivers need to be installed on all PC's that use this printer. They do occupy less than 2k of mmory, however...The printer DOES come with full toner cartridges, not the half-full starter toner cartridges than sometimes come with new printers. The printer warms-up and spits out the first sheet of paper very quickly--very short warm-up time. The print quality is very good for documents and professional looking charts, graphs, etc. Average quality output for photographs. Though, I do have a specialized photo printer, so this is not a big deal for me... The printer is quiet--some clicking and whirling--not too disturbing for an office environment.I use the network port (not the USB port), which was easy to set up, seems to function well.Total time to initially set-up the printer was maybe 10 minutes to remove printer and packaging and maybe 5 minutes to install the printer driver. I'd say less than 15 minutes from box to first printed document.
