I have had the same experience many buyers have had with this company recently. I ordered a Sony blu-ray dvd player from this company on 12/12/08. I received a phone call the next business day saying the company had over sold the player and a shipment from Sony was expected soon. The representative hoped to have soon enough still to get it to me by Christmas. Since then, I have had no correspondence from them and YET ... they were very good at charging my credit card. I had no choice but to contest their credit card charge with my credit card company. I left a message for their CEO (there was a place on their website to do that). If I get a satisfactory result, I will update my review.

The product was out of stock and another product slightly better was substituted. Every effort was instituted to please the customer. In addition, FedEx went out of their way to deliver the package before the New Year with an impending storm with 3-4 feet of snow (which closed I-90) coming in. The product made it in time and was used during the period we were snowed in. Thanks to Home Theater Store and FedEx for making it happen!You can be sure they have return business and customer satisfaction in mind. No worries in ordering from this merchant.

Order at your own risk! This store will charge your credit card when they do not have the product in stock. They are almost impossible to reach by phone. You have to leave your contact info and they will call you back eventually. They will promise that your purchase will arrive on a certain date and then you find out that it has not even been shipped. I dealt with Fred and after the third conversation with him, I had absolutely no faith in his word. I had to finally call my credit card company to dispute the charge. I have ordered hundreds of items on the internet for 10 to 15 years and this was the worst experience I have ever had.

Purchased a Samsung 950 series LCD TV. I was called the following week saying the TV was on order and that It should ship in a couple of days. After a week I called Fred. He told me the TV was to arrive today and that it would ship today. A week later...the same thing. A week after that...the same thing. Fred eventually apologized and said that he would take $300 off the order. After another week he said it shipped, it actually did.The TV was received in great shape. However, I never received a $300 discount. My card was charged the full amount.This company IS not truthful. I would not recommend buying from them

You would be crazy if you didnt buy from them!! AWESOME experience. I placed an order for a Mitsubishi WD73833 (73 inch tv) from them on December 1st and got a call from them (Customer Rep named FRED) the very next day saying that it was last years model which they just ran out of stock on but they would give me a free upgrade to this years model WD 73835 if it was okay with me. Of course I said YES (did I mention it was a free upgrade!!!) The price difference of over $800!!! Well it was on the FEDEX truck the next day and arrived on the 3rd day after shipping. I have never had such great customer service and I was blown away with the quick response and shipping times and the best was the free upgrade. Im sure not everyone is going to get free upgrades but it shows you their service commitment. Great communication and respect for their customers. I will have to make them my electronic shopping store. By the way, the TV is just unbelievable! Thank You Home Theater Store!!!!!

I am very unhappy with my order from HomeTheaterStore.com for Samsung HL67A750. My order was placed on 11/25 and was charged on the same day. About half hours later, I was called TV is oversold but new TV would be available by 12/1. I was told that I could cancel my order anytime, and offered to get free in-home delivery ($50 value) if I stick with them. I decided to give it a try. On 12/2, I was told new 100 TV units would be available by Friday 12/5. I was unhappy when I still couldnt get any update on 12/11 and threatened to cancel my order. I was called again by Fred that he was sorry for giving me wrong order information. He offered to refund my credit and promised me that TV would be available on 12/15. He agreed to give me a call on 12/15 once TV is available and would give me $100 off. So, I set 12/15 as my last chance to give it try. Well, I never got any call and didnt get any email response as well. I did get full refund by 12/15. Waisted 20 days.

All-Time: 10% NegativePast 6 Months: 25% Past 3 Months: 50% Looks like a trend...I have had similar issues to some of the other negative reviews for this site.I placed the order for a television on 11/28/08 and was charged immediately. After a week (12/4/08) with no confirmation email I contacted HomeTheaterStore.com to see what was going on, and got a rather fast email saying that a shipment was coming in, and was offered a $50 credit to not cancel the order. I called again multiple times two weeks later on 12/11/08 before finally getting someone on the phone, who stated that the shipment had arrived that day and would be going out on Friday, 12/12/08. After yet another week, three weeks total, of very little response or communication, I disputed the transaction with my credit card company on 12/18/08.I have since ordered the same item through another site, and while $100 more, they sent me a confirmation email immediately and a tracking number the next day.

I was hesitant to order such an expensive tv online but, after researching for several weeks and speaking with a very knowledgeable and courteous sales associate named Fred, I felt very comfortable and at ease placing my order. My 55" Bravia was delivered by FedEx freight which was virtually hassle free since they called beforehand to schedule a delivery day at MY convenience. I wanted to make sure my tv was working so Fred assured me that FedEx would wait for me to do so - which they did. It was also packaged very securely. Overall I cant tell you how pleased I am with Home Theater Store. They really came through for us. I would highly recommend them to anyone...I definitely give them 5 stars *****! Thanks again Fred! I love my new KDL-55XBR8!

BUYER BEWARE, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!Their system says my order is "pending". Ive tried to contact them by phone (3 times) left a message, with no response. Sent e-mail, no response. They have charged my credit card, and I cant find out why the order is pending. This is a Christmas gift. I need to know if I should look elsewhere.

We also hesitated ordering an expensive TV from a business we never set foot in. We searched for a Sony 52"XBR6 and decided cost played a big factor. The TV was ordered and shipped the next day. It was delivered six business days later. An outstanding delivery time considering we live on a remote island located in the far north reaches of Lake Huron. The TV arrived well boxed and protected....once it was mounted on the wall we realized the vast improvement Sony XBR has over our previous Sharp Aquos.I would strongly encourage you to consider Home Theater Store for any electronic needs....informed staff who treat the customer in a caring manner. One thing I did discover is when I called to obtain another item it was necessary to leave a message but Fred returned the call promptly. Great prices from a reliable business.
