    I ordered a 46" LCD HDTV on CircuitCity.com. The site was offering a discounted price but I was actually charged about $200 more than the advertised price. I immediately cancelled the order and received confirmation of the cancellation within 2 minutes of the original order. The cancellation email stated "Your credit card was automatically charged for your order. Circuit City will issue a refund within 2-3 business days". I went to a Circuit City location and bought the same TV at the price that was posted online (it was delivered the next day). Now it is over three weeks since the cancellation and no credit. I now have charges for 2 TVs ($4K) on my credit card. After multiple phone calls with service agents who were no help I was told they would look into it and should be able to process in 5-7 days. I called back and got a supervisor who handled it today, but what a pain in the... I will never order online with them again!

    I ordered a laptop and a package (printer, router, software) over the phone. I picked up the laptop and the router in the store and the printer was supposed to be shipped to me. I never received that printer. I e-mailed their customer service 5 times and received no response. I called their customer service 5 times with no results. Each time I called some guys from the Philippines answered the phone and all they said was "sorry to hear about that". Not to mention they were pretty rude... So far, 4 weeks after placing the order, I did not receive the printer and I got no refund. I will have to call my credit card company to get my money back. I am not going to shop Circuit City ever. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen.

    Received my 42"Toshiba HD/LCD in 1 day. It was set up and found to be a defective set. Circuit City replaced it with a brand new one the next day. Great price and outstanding service especially since the original set was defective. Picture is outstanding.

    After a lot of research, I decided to buy the Canon SD1000 (7.1MP camera) from Circuit City. They had a good deal which included a free 1GB SDcard and I could pick up in-store. Within a few HOURS of owning this camera, the lens malfunctioned. I went back to CC the next day to get an exchange (as stated on the back of the receipt), but I ended up speaking to 7 different people, spent over an hour there, and the result was that my original camera was not in stock, so I had to get the same thing in black (SD1000K) for $35 more. AND heres the kicker: I was told an exchange was not allowed b/c of the type of damage, but they would make an exception if I bought Protection Plan. I succumbed out of frustration, then went home and realized they gave me NO info on the Plan and I have no way to register or use it. Im going back today for a refund on the plan, and not taking NO for an answer.

    I really dont get why people like to bash a store even if they only had a limited experiece with it. I have shopped through circuitcity.com several times, and I always got what I payed for on time. And if you are not sure if you should or want to buy something then just wait a little. So overall, if you made up your mind, it is a good store.

    I ordered printer for about $600. Their website said "in stock." About 24 hours later I get a nice email saying that they canceled my order b/c it is not available from the mfgr. Thats fair enough. Id give them 2 stars for that. They wont remove the charge from my CC b/c they have a policy of holding the money to get interest and tie up my CC for 5 days. Thats not fair.

    I ordered a modem from circuit city, they sent me an email with a fed-ex tracking number. The fedex site said my modem would be delivered in about 6 days. On the day the modem was to arrive, I went to the fedex site again. The site said my modem was delivered at my house, but no signature was required. I was home all day, the modem never arrived, I believe the fed-ex people stole the item, knowing no signature was required. I called circuit city, notified them of the problem, but rather than shipping the modem I paid for overnight, at their expense, they gave me stories about their policies. I told them my policy is not to do business with irresponsible companies, I notified my credit card company not to pay the charge

    I thought twice before placing the order with CircuitCity since so many complaints. I decided to give it a try since they are the only big name carrying the product I need. Actually my experience is not bad at all; Ordered on 7/3 and received on 7/5. (didnt even realize its from CC until I opened the box)

    I ordered a Canon G7 10MP camera on-line and had it shipped to me by Fedex Ground. Unfortunately, the package was lost. The last tracable scan was at the local Fedex Depot. When Circuitcity customer service was contacted, a file was opened by a female repersentative who had promised to dispatch a replacement right away. Two days later, when I called the customer service department again, Circuitcity remorsed. Another representative there claimed the 1st representative opened the file too early and that I had to wait for at least 15 calendar days before they would even consider the package was actually lost. I ended up getting a full refund back through my credit card company in the form of a chargeback. On Jun 10, I purchased some Nintendo games through the same on-line service. Contacted customer service 3 times and was confirmed shipment is on the way. Stopped by local store and found out order was canceled for no reason. I am so pissed off. Still waiting for the refund.

    I had a great experience with in-store pickup. Very short line, very courteous help, pretty short wait for the product. Later I had a problem with it (not Circuit Citys fault) and chose to return it. Again no line, great customer service, no hassle, and it took much less time than buying products does in other stores.
