    I purchased a philips HTIB (Home Theater in a box) with a combination of gift cards and my debit card; paid 179.99 for the product plus tax and $4.99 for 3-day shipping. I thought all was well. Thats when the problems started rolling on in.The first problem was the fact that it didnt arrive until December third, which was not three day shipping. Second, the product came broken, in the box. The box was not damaged in any way, the receiver simply did not power up. Okay, fine, I thought this happens, just call and it will be resolved. No way.I called their customer service dept. around 6pm that night and was on the phone until about midnight, with no resolutions. I was told to pay 15% restocking and $60 to have it shipped back to me in 21 days. NOT. Tried the stores, same story. Their corporate office? Same problems. Couldnt understand their reps on the phone, was told off in the store and treated rudely, and I STILL dont have a working product. Stay away from this company.

    Stay away from Circuit City online!Ordered a DVD player which never arrived at my house. I had to wait 15 business days before they would refund me. After 15 business days (21 regular days due to holiday) I requested a refund. Seven days later I still did not get the refund. Upon calling back I was told they never put in a refund request for me. It is now 28 days later and I have neither a DVD player or a refund. Customer service their barely existent.The phone system for circuit city online was broken on at leat six different days.

    I placed my order for a 50" Panasonic Plasma by phone only to find out AFTER I had been transferred to a delivery department that my item was on special order. I called Circuity City back to cancel my order and wasted hours going through all this, but did receive an email confirming the cancellation. I then received an email days later telling me that this same order was ready for delivery. I made calls again (all sent to overseas "customer service" agents) wasting even more time and was told I should "cancel the order again" just to be sure. To date, Circuit City has credited me back for a wall mount, leaving approx. $1900 for the TV itself. I am now disputing the charge through AMEX. I like the store, but would never recommend ordering online or by phone--what a nightmare!

    This was one of my worst shopping experiences ever. I wanted to get the HP C6180 printer, and placed the order online to have it picked up at one of their stores. After placing the order, i found that it was available at another store closer to me, and i cancelled the earlier order and placed a new order. When we called to double check if they really had it in stock, we were told that as long as we had the order number, we could pick it up anytime. Imagine my horror when i went up there to be told that i cannot get it as it was out of stock. The response to my questions were both vague and rude. And when i wanted to speak to the manager, i realised i was already speaking to the manager. There was no point in arguing further. I understand it is one of the busiest days of the year, but i expexted a store like theirs to be better prepared to serve customers. Im sure i would do definitely avoid shopping there if its even remotely possible.

    I ordered a Guitar Hero III Bundle, and they shipped it without a box! It arrived with just a label slapped on it...opened...beaten up and damaged! On top of that, my kids saw it arrive and it totally blew the suprise for them as a Xmas gift. When I called Circuit City to complain...no apologies, no explanations, and no reship. I was told to return it to my local store for refund. What a mess...I will never buy from them again...and send a word of warning to anyone ordering online from them.

    I am Completely unsatisfactory with Circuit City.My Order was cancelled. When called customer service, they say they are out of stock. When asked without product being shipped why did they deduct the purchase amount from my Credit Card. No answer but just an apology. They would return the amount after 5-7 business days. When asked for interest for those days - No reply but just an apology. The online store inventory is worst.When there is no stock why did they provide me with an Order number and debit from Card? Is this not a fraudulent technique of holding consumers money for a period of 5-10 days. Beware of Circuit City Online purchases.

    I purchased two Acer Aspire laptops and two bags. I found the ad online, that showed $200 rebates on each laptop and $40 rebates on each bag. I called CC to place the order. The lady knew I was buying them because of the large rebates (In fact, she suggested I buy the bags because of the rebates on them) After the purchase half the rebates were denied because there was a one purchase limit provision. I called CC and told them their ad did not show any limit provision and their sales person not only did not tell me of one, she encouraged me to buy the bags too, because of the rebates. I was told they would resubmit my rebates and I would receive the money. The only thing I received was another notice saying it was declined again, because of limit provision. I was then told it was my fault because the provision was on the bottom of the rebate form and I should have read that first. Unfortunately, I didnt get the rebate form until after the purchase. Id never consider them again!

    very bad service. Circuit city is worst. I didt get my order in 15 days and after that they insist to wait till 15 business day to findout what happened. they wont even findout before that as to what happened.tracking shows my package sitting in sacramento for last 11 days

    The shipping circuit city uses for free shipping sucks. Never received the product. Customer service is slow.
