Circuit City never shipped the TV I ordered. They wont acknowledge their mistake nor will they issue a refund. The FedEx tracking number shows that FedEx never picked it up. Its been 3 very frustrating months now. Their customer service seems to be designed to stall indefinitely. I placed an order for a TV and DVDs 11-22-2007 using CCs "free" standard shipping - supposed delivery date of 12-11-2007. Got the DVDs but no TV. Starting calling Customer service on 12-12-2007 and have been told "youll be called within 72hrs" 4 times, and "your case will be resolved in 7-14 business days" twice. Using the FedEx tracking number provided, FedEx says "Nov 23, 2007 10:38 AM Package data transmitted to FedEx". Circuit City is in bad shape financially, e.g. their stock went from $22 down to $3.50. They may be preparing to file Chapter 11. Be careful that you dont get burned too.

I purchased a Hitachi DZHS500A Camcorder and I was very impressed with the fast shipping and the package deal that I recieved. I would have rated them at the top of the scale, but last time I placed an order (small order) I cancelled it the same day before it was even shipped, but they did not refund my shipping charges. The loss was small so I quit trying after after one phone call, and the call taker didnt seem to understand English very well.

Circuit City finally did refund my cancelled online in-store pickup order although it ended up delaying me about 2 weeks. Even though Im bummed that I missed out on some great holiday specials, they did follow through on their policies and deserve some credit. Wish their online system was a little more forgiving but all in all I will try them again since they still have some good deals in-store and online.

I can say nothing positive about this company. At best they are incompetent. At worst, they are guilty of deceptive business practices. I ordered an SD card online to be picked up at their local store at a very attractive price. After I fought through the Christmas traffic, I was told that their inventory wasnt correct and they didnt have the card. They tried to switch me to another SD card that was a substantial downgrade but was "only a couple of dollars more" than the card I thought I had just purchased online. I was so mad I got my refund and left. I just checked online again, 3 days (including Christmas) after my initial abortive order, and lo and behold they now have the card at more than twice the bait price. Dont trust them. In my opinion, they are liars and cheats.

Generally, the only people who write reviews about a company are the upset customers. The customers that have had a great experience with a company usually never writes a good review. Although there are many people who are unsatisfied with Circuit City, there are thousands of happy customers that do not say so. I bet there are at least 50 happy customers to 1 unhappy complainer. I bought an item and got it two days later. GREAT JOB CC!

We ordered 2 Sony DVPFX810 8" DVD players. One red, one black. Received both of them in 2 days (std shipping) after ordering them even after the Fed-Ex site confirmed they would be delivered in 3. Impressive. I rate 4 out of 5 since I think it should have been easier to choose one black and one red, but I would definately use circuitcity.com again.

Stay away from online ordering. Once purchase is made they will charge credit card next day, but they wont send out your item untill week later.. "FREE SHIPPING" dont get to attach! they should say "SLOW SHIPPING". Customer service, what a joke maybe they can hire monkey to do their job, they dont answer phone but when they did answer they just keep transfer to others. E-mail! may be you get lucky and reply back.

Even though Circuit Citys website says the item I ordered is in stock AND they charged my credit card, I received an email today saying, simply, "Were writing to let you know that we have cancelled your order." No other information was provided.Apparently doing business with CC online is as lame as shopping in one of their stores.

Ordered 2 Panasonic DECT 6.0 cordless phones. Great sales price. Very easy to navigate web site and order. Received prompt order and shipping confirmations. Everything received new and in factory sealed boxes. The free shipping was slow (11-days) but within reason of what Circuit City promises. Overall good experience. I will purchase from circuitcity.com again.
