Ok~I bought an OEM hard drive from them, all they did is packed that in a very big box with some crushed scrap paper. This is a hard drive! Not a basketball. As the result the drive came DEAD ON ARRIVAL. Very displeased with this kind of packaging for a sensitive item like hard drive. Whoever is packing it dont know the difference between a hard drive and a book.They get a 2 rating because the navigation unit was shipped separately quickly even though the hard drive was delayed.

I purchased Sony Vaio VGN-AR820E (item #S168-17005) from TigerDirect.com on 12/1/2008. At time of ordering the item stated that they are in stock and "Availability: Order Today, Ships Today".I check back online for order status the next day, it showed the order is on "back order". I called customer service on 12/2/08. The rep. answered and indicated that TigerDirect is expecting another shipment "next week", and they will ship my notebook as soon as they received them. I called again on 12/8 since the account still says on "back order". This time rep. Rob says that he doesnt know when they will get this item. I told him that is not an acceptable answer since I paid for the item already. He says "you know as much as I do". So I asked him to let me talk to his manager Joe at extension x5907. Joe told me TigerDirect has discontinued this item!So they post a discontinued item for sale, wasted my time, and now I have to waite for 2-3 days to see if I will get my money back!

This is a Christmas present. I am concerned the delivery date of December 17 will NOT be met and cause me undue stress trying to find a replacement present.

I was fu*ked by TigerDirect. They sent to me USED one, not the new one.Futhermore, it dosent have installation CD and had some scratches.I would like to URGE everone who has thinking about purchasing in TigerDirect, THINK ONE MORE TIME then you will find what is good for your mental and health.
