    Duration of ownership: 3 Months

Strengths: FM Tuner, Internal Hard Drive, MicroSDHC Card

Weaknesses:Has a small screen for playing movies.

Overall Evaluation: I've been looking forever for a low priced, decent MP3 player. FM has great reception anywhere I go. Best feature of all is the 8GB which I download movies. Might be small, but does keep me occupied when going on long trips. Battery life can't be better. I would buy again.

    Strengths: Excellent. Easy to use.

Weaknesses:Price, not much of a color selection..black or silver.

Overall Evaluation: I have only used this item for 2 weeks but already it is easier to use than my Ipod. I bought this because the Ipod isn't compatible with some of the audiobooks. Sony's software has issues so the Sandisk was the best option. Nice, slim, but only comes in black and silver...yes, I am shallow that way! Good item.

Strengths: Large memory, Easy-to-use features, FM radio, great price, quality construction.

Weaknesses:Limited accessories, slow sync with a lot of music.

Overall Evaluation: I chose the Sansa Fuze 8GB MP3 Player as an alternate for an iPod. For the price, you can't beat the memory size, features and quality construction. Weaknesses are limited accessories compared to iPods and what seems like a slow sync time when you have a lot of music. Neither of these is a serious issue. The Sansa is a clear winner over a comparable iPod for the price difference.Construction is solid and all ports are easy to access. The memory is the strongest point in the Sansa's favor. You get 8 GB internal with a microSD expansion slot. I purchased an 8 GB Sandisk microSD and it works great. You can pack a lot of music, audio books and/or pictures onto 16GB of space. That's enough for a casual user. The FM radio is great! Reception is good and it provides an alternative to music files if you get board with playlists or just want to catch up on news or weather. The best part of the radio is it's integrated into the player. You don't need to purchase additional, possibly bulky, equipment. The screen size is a bit small for videos and pod casts but image quality is good. Any compact player is too small for serious video viewing. All-in-all, I feel the Sansa is the best choice in an MP3 player if you don't like the high price of iPods. It's also the nicest mix of features I found in available players.
